Mimi was always supposed to be a comic-version of me, but she didn't start out with that name or that look. Initially, she was called Me, but I turned the name down since the reference was too obvious. The name isn't that much different now but it makes more sense, I think. She also had short hair, but as my own grew, so did hers.

The last name is a small tribute to 'The Great Lebowski' but also only a little different than my own last name, Lewalski. This was my baptized name, but when my mom remarried, my brother and I had new last names, and it wasn't until a few years ago, that we changed it back. And believe me, I've been called everything from Lebowski to Lewinsky since then.
